Places of interest in the vicinity
The monastery is situated in a region rich in medieval monuments. There are Benedictine monasteries in Nitra on Mount Zobor and in Klížske Hradište (30 km); Ludanice is located halfway between them. Above the neighbouring village in the Tríbeč Mountain range (10 km), is Oponice Castle from the late 13th century (http://www.leustach.sk/hrad-oponice/hrad-oponice-historia). Above the village of Bojná (17 km) in the Považský Inovec Mountains, visitors can admire a fort dating back to the 8th to 10th centuries with in situ reconstructed buildings (http://www.mocenskecentra.sav.sk/historia.php). In 2012, the Museum of Great Moravia was set up in the village.
